Has any one ever taken them there? I am specifically talking about sewing classes. I signed up to take the basic sewing class (sewing 101) at Joann's tomorrow. Do you think they are any good? It was only $35 and is a Christmas present from my bf. I have never sewn before and would like to learn good sewing habits early on.
How the class is presented all depends on the instructor. There is a set curriculum from corporate, but the instuctor sets the tone of the class. Hope you have a good class! let us know how it goes!
Ok...I just took the sewing 101 class today and it was great! I really enjoyed myself and the instructor was excellent and very helpful! She took time with each class student (there were 4 of us) and was very informative! I can't wait to start sewing for real now!!! I feel a lot more confident now!
Chelsey, Thats great that you had fun and learned at the same time. Now don't be afraid to take another class if you have the chance. I consider myself a fair sewer. There are lots of things that I need to get better at. (zippers for one) And I love to take classes as often as I can. Sometimes you learn more from others mistakes and or questions. And besides, you are with people that have the same interest as you. And its fun!!
