Posted - Jun 09 2008 : 2:37:53 PM Anyone know of a good source online for free tatting patterns? I'm looking for patterns for edging sweaters, pillowcases, and anything else that comes to mind. I love the instruction in MJ's book but I'm looking for a bit more. Thanks.

Posted - Jun 10 2008 : 07:58:16 AM Shuttle tatting takes some getting used to, but once you get the "flip" of the knot, it's simple. I like both, but actually do better with a shuttle. I have my great-great and greatgrandmother's shuttles. I love using them, only I am sure that I am not a nimble as those two were. :) My dad says he remembers his grandma sitting in a chair, watching TV and tatting. Watching TV?! There is no way that will ever happen here. I have to concentrate on what I'm doing or else all you-know-what breaks loose. :)

Posted - Jun 09 2008 : 11:32:19 PM Thank you! For those in the know, is tatting with a shuttle easier or harder? Needle tatting, I find, is quite easy.
