I haven't done an apron sign up yet. I did post a tea towel sign up. I wanted to get the tea towel going first and also over this crisis with my dd.

hmmm... want to do apron swap and tea towel swap but not sure what color my stars are so i am posting this to find out
Peg Graham Posted - Jun 20 2007 : 2:59:22 PM
This is confusing to me...where is the 'partner list' for the Apron swap then?
The original thread said 'Tea Towel and Apron swap'....so now it's 2 different swaps?

I'd just like to know if I am partnered yet.

Elizabeth,
I am going to have to pull out of this one because I don't think I'll have time to commit to it and the tea towel swap and it's looking kind of busy for us soon.
Sorry about this but as I did not see an assigned partner list I thought maybe it is not to late.

Is the tea towel swap and apron swap separate or together ? I am just confused at this point........ it doesn't take much.
candismom Posted - Jun 06 2007 : 10:17:14 AM
Yes no guidelines as far as date to mail and who can join. That is what the group has expressed they wanted when doing swaps. But in doing it this way I will not be making up for packages not sent as I have in the past. You will be taking a risk when joining. In the past there has been no risk. The tea towels do have to be hand stitched and apron can be half or whole. Ask your partner which she pefers. I will do sign ups for both June 15th.

Elizabeth

I'd like to join this one too! And, Susan, half or whole, your apron was perfect--I love it!!

Well, I think I do a better job on half aprons. But I can do a full one. I guess I can wait and see what inspires me. I will just go to the big city and find a cool tea towel. My partner will not want me to embroider it-- ha ha. I already have idea's brewing for my tuck in. I am getting excited this will be my first big apron swap.
levisgrammy Posted - Jun 06 2007 : 09:09:26 AM
Susan,
I believe we are assigned partners but the swap has not started yet. Actually I believe Elizabeth said there were not any guidelines that we could work everything out with our partners. I hadn't thought of that earlier when I posted to Michelle.

Let me get this all straight...

Are we assigned partners?
Is there a deadline yet?
What about the Tea Towel? Ready Made, embellished?
Are the Aprons Full coverage or our choice? And did I mess up last swap by making a half apron??? I just got inspired...but now wonder if I was mistaken?

Trying to understand it all!!!

Hi Michelle,
I think the aprons are usually the full ones not half and the tea towels I don't think we make though I may be wrong. I am thinking they would be embroidered or something like that. Maybe we can buy them though.

I think I would like to take part in this, could you tell me the details on the tea towel? Can I buy a cute tea towel? I am not very good and making anything like that. And is there a specific type of apron I would need to make? I know, questions, questions, questions!!!

Elizabeth,
Things are getting really busy for me, so I am regretfully going to have to bow out now before this one is started. Don't want to get in the thick of selling my house and having to pack away my machines and miss a deadline, so I'll catch an Autumn swap.

Thanks for understanding and everyone have lots of fun!!
