I entered a post today about how this hot and humid summer has me dreaming about Fall! Because it is still just July, I had this idea to host a Scarecrow Swap because gardens are yielding veggies and Scarecrows are already out there working. Scarecrows start early and so I think it would be fun to just do a swap with this theme.
To keep expenses down, purchase or make some sort of scarecrow item that can be used now. For early fall enthusiasts, we can march along the slow road to Fall by starting 2023 with a salute to our hard working garden pals who then find their way to the rest of the pumpkins for a one of America's favorite seasons.
I hope you will join me in a little early fall fun. Let's beat the heat with a Scarecrow friend!
Sign up will be today, July 18- July 28. Then please try and mail your swap in early August so your partner can enjoy.

Wanda, those garden scarecrows are wonderful! Very creative! Thanks for sharing them with all of us.
Scarecrows are showing up at Farmgirl homes and they sure are a bunch of cuties! There are so many creative scarecrow items in stores right now and I am being made aware of the diversity available by the photos of swaps arriving. I love it!

Hello sisters, I wasn’t able to join this swap but have been watching. I love everything about Fall and all of the scarecrows are so cute! While exploring the backroads of our new area, we ran across a community garden with the most unconventional scarecrows that I have ever seen. I love them and thought this would be a good place to share.  
A day hemmed in prayer is less likely to unravel.

Hi Denise, happy you got yours! Yes, I made the little gnome, not my best work but I enjoyed decorating him! The cards came from a collage I just finished! The original has been mailed off. My scarecrow swap arrived just moments ago and oh what a cute surprise!! Karen, you outdid yourself and I just loved it all!! There was a set of the cutest scarecrow pals, a beautiful bookmark with the Breast Cancer bow, and these fancy metallic clips for keeping things organized. Thank-you too for the beautiful card and your sweet message.
All of the swaps coming in are just adorable! We are all set for early Fall now with scarecrow goodies to enjoy. This has been a fun topic and I am enjoying seeing how everyone comes up with scarecrow ideas.

Kelly, your fun package arrived this afternoon. Oh, what a wonderful group of goodies too!! I love that darling scarecrow you made that sits on a little block with the letter S on it, Too cute!! The shelf sitter scarecrow is just perfect for any shelf area and so adorable with that hat and holding a pumpkin and sunflower bouquet. The sparkly leaves are new to me and a perfect way to add a bit of bling to my decorations. The Swedish dishcloths are great because they are easy to use and keep clean. Plus the fall scene on them is perfect to dress up a kitchen sink for the season!! Those cinnamon teas sound really good and will save them for when it cools down and a cup of hot tea will be welcomed. Thank-you for being myself swap buddy. Hang in there with the heat that just won't seem to leave!! Tonight it was still 94 degrees at 7:30. Today was one of those really brutal days and everything outside is drooping again. We had a short shower last night and the flowers and all perked up but today just wore them out with blazing sun and heat again all day long. At least now I have some fun fall things to put out and enjoy!
