I thought the Traveling Craft Box #6 was a real success!
So, here is the sign-up for Traveling Craft Box #7!
This swap is limited to 10 swappers including Farmgirls who have been in the swap before.
First box mail out will be September 2.

Neat Judith, it sounds like you got some nice things out of there. I am so glad there was good usable things in there for the Affordables shop.

I went through the box again. I set aside a gallon bag of items (of the type you girls mentioned) to forward to the #8 box. I feel pretty good about that. The rest went to Affordables (a shop run by persons with disabilities). Oh. I did set aside a book on scandi straw, little note cards, and a love stamp and a couple of packs of wrapping paper for myself. Thank you!

I am happy to say I am still in organizing crafts mode and finding things to pop in the box. It will definitely be ready to go in January! Thank you for starting this Darlene and for jumping in to help also Judith. Just want you to know we appreciate you gals and how you keep this going.

I think it is a great idea to donate what is left and I'm glad Marie said what she could use . Sometimes if we are up on the list we don't see what goes in after so it's great to mention it.

If there is any yarn, beads, sequins or ribbons in the box, send it in the next box. I am completely in favor of donating anything left over to a worthy cause. It is the right thing to do.

Angie, I received Craft Box #7 today! So, the box has come full circle! All of you ladies have been terrific this round..Thank you! Now, a question to all of you. I haven't gone through the box yet; but, I would like to hear your opinions as to what I should do with the remainder of craft items in the box. Last time I took out what I could use and then, donated the remaining items to two of our thrift shops manned by employees with disabilities. Would you like to have the remaining items go into the Craft Box #8 box, continue as a round robin for Craft box #7 or donated to the thrift store? I know if I see something I put into the box (being the first mailer) and it is still in there now I will not send it out again. Opinions, please.

Well I think that is a good idea too because time is zooming by and I know I will have more stuff to put in the box after New Years.
That way you all can rest. Or do other things.
Great idea to start #8 next year.
When you want to start a new post Denise, you can let us know and then make up the post letting us know to get ready.

Anytime is good and I was thinking:
1) If someone really needs something for holiday crafting, plan it now and make a general request to our group now so the need is met before it's too late.
2) It might be better to wait until after the New Year so we can all gather our leftovers and thoughts together for a spring box.

I believe you are right, Darlene...I would be comfortable with putting up another post for Traveling Craft Box #8 close to the time that Denise is comfortable with for mailing her box. Let us know, Denise, if you would like to do it sooner or after the holidays. It doesn't matter to me.
Jump in here ladies and tell us what is preferred.
