Here we go again - I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaack!!! LOL!

If you haven't yet participated in one of my 10" square fabric swaps, maybe now is the time to join us. We are having a lot of fun getting 10" fabric squares in the mail from our farmgirl friends. We are all farmgirls at heart, even if we currently only plant in flower pots, so our theme for this month is "Farmgirl fabrics" - this could be fruits, veggies, farm scenic, aprons, farm-themed things, etc. I'm thinking that IF you plan to send a fruit or veggie fabric, please announce which one right away so we try not to have too many duplicates.

This swap involves no sewing (your project is determined by what you want to make with your fabric squares) - only buying fabric and cutting it into 10" squares. Please cut off all selvages before cutting so there is no selvage in the 10" squares. (NOTE: The selvages are the two tightly woven edges of the fabric - opposite the folded edge.)

This is a new swap for 10" squares of Farmgirl-themed Fabrics. Each person who signs up will receive 2 different 10" squares of Farmirl-themed fabric from each of the other farm girls who sign up. A yard of fabric will make 12 squares, so the amount of fabric you will need to purchase will depend on how many sign up. We had a super group of 21 swappers last swap, our largest group yet. Please join in - all are welcome.

Signups begin today: May 29
Signups end: Noon, June 20
Mail out by: June 30

If you have not yet participated in one of my 10" fabric swaps, when you sign up by posting in this thread, please immediately send me your name/address/phone. The name/address is so I can send a complete list to each swapper; the phone number is only in case I need to contact you for any reason.

We have been enjoying these swaps and it is fun seeing all the different fabrics we choose. I hope you will join us.

NOTE: When you do join in, please "Subscribe" to this topic so that you will receive all communication regarding the topic. And we all like to hear from you when you send out fabric and when you receive fabric.

You can go to the "Showcase" thread for projects made with these 10" squares to post what you make and see what others have made using out themed squares. http://maryjanesfarm.org/snitz/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=73817

I received April's fabrics today - love them both, as I've loved all of the fabrics in these swaps.

I can't wait to see what the Kitchen Fabric swap brings.

Doris has some ideas. This fall we could do fall/ Autumn squares. I noticed some Autumn fabrics in Wal Mart. Of course I guess we would need to begin sometime in Sept. But we have time for another now.

I am now HOME! So glad to be home, however, the temps in Michigan were so much nicer than the 100 degree + temps in Texas.

Can't wait to pick up my mail to see all the goodies in squishy envelopes. I have a quilt retreat Thurs and Friday and hope to finish several quilt tops from our squares, plus a few others from other swaps. LOL!

Not sure if I said this before, but I think I see a lot of farmgirl themed things going up in the kitchen soon. . . as well as some awesome pillows. These prints are just too dang cute to put in a quilt that will be used. More likely to use the wonderful things in a way that will be seen and adored more often. And we all know that the "HEART" of a home is indeed the kitchen!

Thank you for all of the kind words. You all are so thoughtful. Thank you to Darlene R. and Debbie F. for the cards. So touching to get extra mail from my sisters!

And thank you to Marti S. & C. Martin for the fabric squares received. This exchange has been extra special for me.

Looking forward to the next exchange. If no one has volunteered, I think I have a neat idea for the next one. Wouldn't mind hosting it but would need a large window since I'm handling other affairs right now. Maybe a Sept 1st mailout date ??? Not sure who decides these things but I am an eager student. Just let me know.
