Ho, ho, ho Farmgirl Sisters ... It is NOT to early to start signing up for The Annual Christmas Stocking Exchange.
Swap Guidelines:
1. You need to either Make or Buy an 18-24 inch Christmas Stocking and embellish it.
2. When you sign up for this swap, please state your preference of Religious, Traditional, or Both.
3. Then please list 6 items that you collect or would like to receive in your stocking. Each Partner will need to purchase or make at least 4 of those items; and then you can include whatever extras you wish.
4. Each gift is to be individually wrapped and put in the stocking.
5. Please also enclose a Christmas Card for your Partner.
6. Sign-Ups will begin Now and will go until Nov.15th...at which time I will post Partners on Nov. 16th. You will have until the first week in December to mail them out.

I, too, display them all. Along one wall I have a collection of stockings that my mother and I made through the years and my farmgirl stockings and some I found and loved in antique shops. I need to STOP buying stockings.
A few years ago I found cowboy boot stockings (not real boots) for my twin grandsons and made a recycled denim stocking for my oldest grandson. This year I made Ed a Levis stocking with a brown "boot" at the bottom. I love the denim stockings and have sold quite a few of them out of recycled jeans.

Yes, I crocheted the stocking. I have many patterns. Part of the holiday decoration in my home are Marilyn's stocking I received this year and those from the past two years. It is wonderful to look at them.

Shannon is very busy. She asked me to post pictures of the Stuffed Christmas Stocking I sent to her.
The crochet ripple pattern stocking.
The stocking and all the gifts. I sent Shannon a lot of mommy only comforts such as the hot chocolate/chili mix, Comfort and Joy tea and some bath salts.

Well, Santa stopped by my house today and look what he brought me from ReDonna!!! Oh my so many wonderful and adorable goodies!!!!
She made an adorable burlap stocking and filled it with homemade peppermint bark, horehound drops, assorted teas, and homemade hot cocoa mix. Then she put together this cute kitchen angel made from holiday dishtowels, potholder, dishcloth and heart cookie cutter. Too cute!! Then she made an adorable clothespin star and snow friend for the tree. Plus, there was a big skein of beautiful thick wool , a cute card and a wooden towel holder.
Thank-you ReDonna for so many beautiful and fun surprises!! It was great fun being your swap buddy for this annual stocking swap tradition.
