It's time to sign up for October Mail Art

If this is your first time signing up for Mail Art, please visit the topic Farmgirl Mail Art under the Farmgirl Swap heading to read our guidelines. Then leave a comment on that post if you want to participate and I will contact you.

FOR OCTOBER, please leave a comment on this thread stating you'd like to participate. Sign-up is available through October 15th. If your comment appears after you've posted it, that means you're on the roster.

Portia (ptroupe) has chosen this month's theme and it's pumpkins. We could have a whole lot of fun with this one!

I will send an email with your partner to you on October 16th. Please send your Mail Art before October 31.

A couple of things to keep in mind:
1. Traditionally, Mail Art has been "secret"; part of the fun is receiving a surprise package from a surprise partner. I would encourage you not to tell your partner who you are until a reasonable amount of time has passed for them to receive your art.
2. Please be sure to include enough postage for your Mail Art to reach its destination :)

If you have any questions or concerns, please send me an email. I'm always delighted to help.

Happy Swapping!

Yeah! so glad you received it in one piece Christine. sorry for the delay. I have always loved the idea of a blessing bowl or gratitude bowl and have been trying my hand at making a version of it. some fail but I keep trying. glad you like it. MJ

I received my mail art today...Thanks so much for the lovely package. I have never heard of a blessing bowl and I will be sure to use it. The candle smells wonderful. The card is absolutely beautiful and the hen decoration is hanging up in my kitchen. So very thoughtful of you Mary Jo...

I had a doll pattern from a craft magazine. I had made some dolls for my girls and a bunny for my boy. I measured the bunny, but must have overestimated the seams. My boy, now close to 30n still has Bubba loo Bunny.

Technically we have until the last day of the month to send our mail art. Occasionally, some of us might run a day or two behind. I know who your partner is, so don't worry, it's coming

Aides Rose that is such a cute kitty, did you make it?
Christine you are not my swap partner but the swap ended Oct.31st, Saturday. So if your partner mailed Saturday it could take a few days. Or perhaps like Me they mailed Monday morning. I was first in line, waiting for the doors to open.

On Monday I got an absolutely beautiful quilted pumpkin wall hanging in the mail. I saved it to open with my Grandmother who is 94 and gets a kick out of my Farmgirl adventures. She & I both marveled over the fine work that went into this piece. I was truly touched by this special gift. Photo to come when I can figure out the technology!

Thanks Sherry, I am sorry about letting you know it was from me. I am new at joining in on these swaps and guess I didn't pay attention to the little details.

I thought we were supposed to keep it secret for a little while anyway. That address that was on the box is MJF's. It all in good fun anyway.

Oh no, you did fine - we put our names on the packages when we mail our mailart. In fact, I took a closer look at my box and the stamp was from Longview TX. Thank you Sherry for the pumpkin!

Yesterday I got my October Pumpkin mail art. I love it! The pumpkin and tag are on my desk at work where I show them off to everyone. The name on the box was covered, s I only know she lives in Moscow, Idaho.
