Posted - Apr 29 2015 : 8:51:19 PM I'm having fun hosting swaps and here is a fun "let's get ready for the summer sun" swap. We've made our aprons and clothespin bags and now we need a sunbonnet to keep the sun off our heads when we are hanging clothes out on the clothesline. Everyone who signs up will make a sunbonnet for their partner. Tucks are welcome but not necessary. There is enough time that everyone who signs up can go ahead and make their bonnet and have it ready to send out.
Signups end: May 30 Send-out date: June 15
Signups: NOTE: Your SEND TO Partner is NOT the same as the one who will send a bonnet to YOU! Please contact your swap partner to get THEIR address!

Posted - Aug 05 2015 : 09:07:22 AM This sounds so adorable! I hope you do it again. I'm a little concerned though since I am a beginner at sewing. I'll give it a shot though.

Rose! Thank you so much for the bonnet! I'll get my DH to take a picture later and post it! My kids say I look like a prairie mom! I wear it every morning to check the hen house for eggs and when I water! I just love it!
Great bonnets, everyone! I really enjoyed this swap! Thank you Linda for organizing!

Posted - Jun 23 2015 : 5:12:01 PM Thank you, Jennifer, for the lovely sunbonnet and tucks! You chose the pattern that I almost made: but I chose another because it looked easier. Thank you, too for a copy of the pattern, several flavors of tea. (which I love! Yum!) and a sweet handkerchief! Did you know I collect them! Blue is also one of my favorite colors. My favorite second youngest grand-daughter, Brooklyn, is modeling the sunbonnet which turns into an apron or clothespin bag! (Taa-daa!) Orange is also one of my favorite colors. I wore it all the time growing up and decorate with it now. Thank you again for the sweet sunbonnet and your efforts! Thank you, Linda, for hosting this.
