It is almost June!! Can you believe it??? Well, time for us to start crafting our Fourth of July ribbon doll...this one was requested and I am happy to oblige..

For this we will make a Lady Liberty Ribbon Doll...I had a little trouble finding a large enough paper Lady, so I found something else red white and blue and just added to it the smaller Lady Liberty. Ribbon will be festive and for the holiday.

The next doll will be in September...An Apple Ribbon Doll...Be thinking of this one!!

Lady Liberty will end the sign up on June 6th
Mail out no later than June 15th....The girls need to have it in time for displaying!!

have fun and happy crafting!!

I guess I'm the only one that took "lady liberty" to mean the statue. Here's the doll I made for Darlene:

Hi Beth!! I did receive my Lady Liberty!! Love it! Thank you so much for all the 'tuck ins' as Betty calls them. This was so fun. I found that picture on a pattern and copied it.

I am enjoying getting started with Farmgirls! I am so glad Betty introduced me! BTW, Betty aka DappleGreyLady is my twin sister!

I apologize for getting the Ribbon Doll to you late. We have been busy preparing for my parents 60th Wedding Anniversary and the celebration was great and went off without a hitch!

Things have been difficult in the last few weeks for us all after losing our beloved younger sister Cindy so suddenly, and then eight weeks later I lost my sister in law to a courageous battle with cancer. Trying to 'regroup' and move forward. God is good and faithful and is getting me through these tough times.

I look forward to the next Ribbon Doll project!!

Portia,
So sorry it went to the wrong place!! I didn't have my glasses when I went to the post office near my house and asking them to help a middle aged woman with short arms to read something off a mailing, label!! I will drive the extra distance to the airport post office they are much more friendly there!!!
Have a good 4th of July! I can't believe the summer is going by so fast!!

Denise, I received my beautiful ribbon doll today! I just love her!!!! I guess you wondered why you hadn't heard from me before now, but you forgot to put North on my street address and it went elsewhere and then came. We have trouble all the time because the hospital gets our mail and then we have to fuss at the post office!!Thank you, also, for the cowgirl stickers. I am Southern-born and raised, so I love cowgirl stuff!Hope you have a wonderful holiday.

Hugs,
Portia

It seems my problem with uploading pictures was patience. I didn't wait long enough for them to upload.
Here's the pictures of the beautiful ribbon doll I got from Darlene. Didn't she do a wonderful job for her first ribbon doll!!!!

Thanks again Darlene!
