It is almost June!! Can you believe it??? Well, time for us to start crafting our Fourth of July ribbon doll...this one was requested and I am happy to oblige..

For this we will make a Lady Liberty Ribbon Doll...I had a little trouble finding a large enough paper Lady, so I found something else red white and blue and just added to it the smaller Lady Liberty. Ribbon will be festive and for the holiday.
The next doll will be in September...An Apple Ribbon Doll...Be thinking of this one!!
Lady Liberty will end the sign up on June 6th
Mail out no later than June 15th....The girls need to have it in time for displaying!!

I am interested in joining, but I was wondering if the girl has to be paper or if she can be made of something else as long as there are ribbons? I haven't ever made a ribbon doll, but my idea includes wood rather than paper. Please let me know.

Your idea would be fine, Sarah...Just so it has ribbons...Darlene, I don't have a camera right now..so no go with the photo, Look back at the previous ribbon dolls and you will see many different types.
One Red Zinnia..if you want to participate, just say so on this post. The directions are at the top. If you would like to see some of the ribbon dolls previously done find one of the older ribbon doll post and look...It's some really cute ones there...Hope you can join!

ME! ME! ME! I love the Ribbon Dolls! I can't wait to put mine at the top of my Red, White, and Blue Tree, which I am getting ready for Memorial Day! I have been watching for your post for this one! Thanks! One Zinnia, you will get addicted to these ribbon dolls!

Is there a size limit on the paper doll head?
I have one that is bigger than the one someone sent me and I was just curious about the size. I am going to go for it,

I try to make mine 12 inches long top to bottom. Most I have recieved are 12 inches or smaller. Also, keep in mind mailing the doll; make the doll where it will fit folded in an envelope or small flat rate box.
