They may be any type:pieced,appliqued or embroidered. None painted.
Quality fabric please.
Make 12 blocks. Keep 1 and send me 11.
Enclose a Large envelope with enough postage to return your new blocks.
Sign up until January 17.
Send Blocks to me by March 25.

Hello Darlene,
I got my blocks today and they are all beautiful. Thank you for the tucks. Can't wait to get my blocks sewed together to make a quilt to lay across the back of my rocker. I'm starting on the blocks for the next quilt block swap this week.

I just love them...Just got them from the mail and they are beautiful!!! I am so sorry I could not do the patriotic swap. I came down with broncitis and having trouble with asthma and just was not sure I would be able to get them done...Darlene if you have any problems this time and need some more,let me know and I will help. these are lovely!!!!

Yhea I just got home from work and as soon as I saw the envelope.....I could not wait to get it open! The blocks are great!! Thanks to everyone. I know exactly how I am going to place them. My DH is going riding this weekend so it will be me, the dogs, and the cat (She is my sewing partner.) If I get the top pieced I will post a picture. Thanks again, Barbara

Toni, it should have said jello! You will love this. I have been making this since another mother from cub scouts gave it to me and my son is now 37!

Darlene, I received my blocks today. Awesome job once again ladies!!! I showed them
to my Mom to my husband, and probably would have shown them to anyone else who arrived
at my house. Now to decide how to put them together. Thank you Darlene for the extra
goodies, one question, I want to make the strawberry shortcake, but on the recipe what
did you mean by lg strawberry jelly? Thank you for the tea and the trivets. you are
a wonderful swap hostess. |

I received my blocks in todays mail. WOW! Ladies, they are beautiful. Thank you so very much, dear sisters. Now I can't wait to get finishing up. Darlene, thank you also for the spice mat, tea bag and recipe. You are too kind. I feel like Christmas in April. I can't get the smile off my face! LOL

Darlene I have to agree that the postage is weird. You would think that my 11 blocks weigh about the same as the 11 that you are sending back out. Makes me think that the route is what changes things.....But okay I will do the $5 for the next swap. I know that my postman was confused about what I was doing. Maybe we could get them to quilt and join us on MJF ...LOL Thanks again will be looking for my blocks. I need to start my next set. But last weekend I started repainted my to be sewing room. It was a grey - old boys bedroom - now it is going to be yellow with moss green, and sky blue thrown in. The room does not get much sun but when the windows are open you get a nice breeze and can hear the birds. Can you tell that I'm excited to get my sewing room back? My other distraction is an old quilt that I am re-doing. It is from the 30's feed sacks and 90% hand pieced. Someone did a poor job machine quilting it and the batting it the old cotton. Oh I must not forget the wholes. So carefully taking out the machine quilting. Trashing the batting. I have sone feed sacks to fix some of the wholes...but not sure about having a match for the muslin any ideas? The patten is the three tulips in a basket set on point. Would love any ideas Thanks, Barbara

Thank you Darlene. I am sorry the postage and envelopes have been such a problem. Can you tell me why number 10 is missing on the first page? Did I miss something? How many blocks will we be receiving? Thanks again for hosting this!

All blocks went out today. While putting postage on the 2 envelopes that needed them the postmaster said he had to weigh the ones with postage already on them. Some had too much postage on and some needed .17 and maybe more, I can't remember. I wanted to pay it but he said no it will get done on the other end so I guess you all will know when it gets there. The PO is a nightmare anymore. I said how can we do this better. He said take one of the tough bag envelopes and put the blocks in ther and then put them in a $4.95 envelope. So I got 12 of each for the next swap already to go. So girls in the next swap just send $5.00 and no envelopes and that will be it.
Let me know when you receive your blocks!
