Posted - Oct 20 2010 : 6:41:20 PM BLOCKS ARE IN THE MAIL!!!I think that you ladies in PA will receive them tomorrow. Everyone else should have them by Friday. Well all but Debbie. You may not see your untill next week.
Again thank you all so very much for joining my swap. I truly love to host these swaps. Everyone that joins are alway so kind and generous. I loved all your notes and little "extras" you sent me. Darlene, you will have to ask your sister if she knows me. I am an ASG member.(but I nave not attended a meeting in a number of months. I am trying to start a group here in town) I also attend a number of classes at StonyBrook. I think all of our blocks looks great. Someone commented about hers fraying. Don't worry, that happens. When we put our blocks all together, the frey will be gone. But maybe you might want to use a little sizing when you iron your fabric. That can help a little. I love to make quilt blocks. Most of them are put together to make a top. But that is as far as I get. I am not very good at quilting them. I like to send them out but that can be expensive. My dream is to one day own a long arm quilitng machine and frame. One day..
Thank you for the photos Ruth and Darlene. Its nice to meet you. I sent you all one of me too. Ruth, I love the weave you did. I was just at a quilt show in VA and seen a booth selling either the pattern or was it the rulers.
Please let me know when you all receive your blocks!

Posted - Oct 17 2010 : 2:56:51 PM Starletta...You don't have to make a block for me either. You don't need to ask for forgiveness. We all understand. You handle whatever you need to do and blocks are way down on that list. Relax. Take a deep breath. We have all been there at sometime in our lives or will be. Praying for you and yours.
Kathy...Again...don't feel like you need to do the blocks. It's not fair to think you have to. You host a swap and things happen. All's well! If we have less blocks so what. Thanks for doing it in the first place.

Posted - Oct 17 2010 : 2:39:33 PM Starletta, Bless your heart - don't worry about sending me a block! Your plate is more than full and I want you to know that I'll be praying for you and your family. Life can be difficult, that is why God gave us "sister's" to help carry the load. Please let me know if I can help in any way. Kathy, Thanks so much for doing this swap. Please just send me whatever blocks you have and please don't make any to replace those not sent in to you. Whatever I get will be great! Thanks again for doing this great swap! Many hugs, Ruth

Posted - Oct 17 2010 : 2:31:40 PM Hello ladies. I did get so far behind with these blocks due to so many misfortunes coming my way at once. My husband's hours and pay got cut in half so he and I both picked up second jobs. His mother became very ill and passed away and then my mother let me know that she is losing her house and has to be out by the end of October. I then found out that she has been hoarding and there is so much in that house to deal with. I do firmly intend to keep my commitment to you but absolutely became overwhelmed--some of the blocks are finished and ready and I'm doing one every evening to catch up. If you are comfortable with emailing me your address, I would like to mail them to you separately. I do so apologize and hope you can each forgive me. Thank you
