Hi doll lovers,
We would rescue a used doll from thrift shop or anywhere ya find one.
Rescued dolly gets fixed up...example new hair do, clothes, etc.
Use your talents and give dolly love and and a new home.
 
Anyone want to do this???
Dolly is a human, not animal or stuffed animal. Contact your partner for more info to agree on. Post pics if ya can or send pics via email to me and I can post them here for you.

Hi ya Peggy Ann! I didnt organize this swap we have Linda to thank for that. Its been alot of fun. I know that this swap is closed, but if you wanted to do a one on one swap with someone you could go over on the "Swap" section and do a posting asking if someone would like to make and swap one with you, I bet someone would love to do it. Hi Oletta, I am sooooooo sorry for not posting before now. Dolly arrived safely and both her and her clothes are just PERFECT, I apsoulutly LOVE her. The items that you put in with her were ever so thoughtfull and overly generouse. Please except my appology for posting late, we have had a sudden death in the family and I havent been able to keep up. I am going to catch up this week and will post a picture of my new farm dolly on my web page for all to see.

Robin, did the doll come? It was in a rather weak box and I sent it regular mail. I wish I could have done better with the clothes. I was all thumbs and had to kind of guess at it and it showed, but the doll herself I thought was pretty. Maybe you can make some better clothes. |

Robin, she came yesterday! She is SO cute! I just love her! I've got her on my shelf over the computer so I can look at her. Right now I can't post pictures, but she has the sweetest face and hair and dress. Did you make the little basket?LOVE her! |

I've got the clothes done for dolly, and she just needs shoes of some sort now.
Her hair looked great so I didn't have to touch it....her legs are a little loose but otherwise she is perfect. I bought her naked. She is a Madame Alexander doll....very nice quality. I think you'll like her.

How's are everyone's dolly's coming along? I hope ya'll are having a better run of things with your dolls than I've been having with mine.
I had a nasty respiratory infection a week or so ago and well wouldn't you know I got better for a day or two and it has decided to come back in full swing! Aaaarrrgggg. I hope my partners, Linda and Barbara will forgive me if I run a few days behind. I'm going to get back to work on then here in a bit.

I like to sew, mostly I am sewing quilts and handmade bags but a rescue dolly might be kind of fun. Mine would have to be bigger than a Barbie though.

Debbie - I think you and I will be partners. It does not matter what size, your choice. I already have my doll and have been thinking about outfits but was waiting for a partner before getting started. I don't have a lot of time but am excited about doing this. I haven't made doll clothes since my daughter was small. I don't know about the time frame on this but 3-4 weeks works for me. I'll send you an email.
