I have a lot of books, also. What do you like? He has over 200 paperback westerns, also, several Louis Lamour. |

Posted - Mar 17 2010 : 3:27:23 PM alright, thankx. I'll work on the photo. It looks like a thinner, more supple leather, so probably 3 or 4 grain.

Posted - Mar 17 2010 : 2:22:19 PM Alicia, hubby would like to see a photo of the spurs. He is Native American and a little iffy on the spurs (lol) but thinks he might have someone that would like them. As for the grain of the hide, we have no clue. He uses deerskin to make bags for his Sacred Pipes and he wants to stay traditional Eastern Woodlands so no cowskin for his crafts !

Posted - Mar 16 2010 : 4:26:38 PM My husband is just getting serious into leatherwork. He would love it! But what to trade? I need to clean out my cookbooks....I have lots of Taste Of Home year end hardback cookbooks. There's a pair of spurs that he traded some chaps for, but they are too short in the shanks for his taste. Pretty blued steel, good condition. He's got some perfect tooling leather that would work up into nice spur straps. One piece. And his stamping is getting much better.
I'll go put some of his work on my blog, later this evening.
