Posted - Jul 27 2011 : 5:49:17 PM I have been loving the look of cowgirl boots with skirts, but am not sure I could pull it off. It seems the skirts are usually "softer" to counteract the toughness of the boots. Any advice? How do you put the look together?

I tried some of those fatbaby boots on and they hurt my feet right away and I tried on multiple sizes and widths too. I noticed my heels come up in roper boots although they feel the best on my soles so I just don't know if it's just me or what. Love the pictures Diane!!!

I havse found Ariats do not fit my feet well at all. The Justin Gypsys are great for me. I do wear the more squared off toe with my brrom skirts which I guess now are called gypsy skirts. I think that looks best, but then I am not at the age where I would try to pull off a short skirt any more either!

Posted - Oct 11 2011 : 2:56:44 PM The problem I have with wearing them with skirts is that I either need to wear tights or long socks with them, because I have issues with the feeling of the shaft of the boot slapping against my bare legs when I walk. Just my own oddity!!

Posted - Oct 10 2011 : 12:13:06 PM Tiffany, I know some of the plus size clothing stores sell wide calf boots. Don't know if they have cowgirl styles. I try to buy ones that aren't too high and can often make them work on my calves. |

Posted - Sep 19 2011 : 11:07:24 AM Well . . I don't go barefoot in all that unsavory stuff outside because I don't want sore or filthy feet. I DO cover my tootsies for that! Just not for "regular" . . . (whatever that is) purposes. CJ

Posted - Sep 19 2011 : 10:54:10 AM I love being barefoot! But with snakes, thistles, dog poop, cow poop, horse poop, chicken poop, outdoor cats...when we go outside we wear shoes most of the time. I love my Double H boots along with my FatBaby's. Ariat has always been my favorite show boot brand, so naturally I love their rec boots, too. :)

Posted - Sep 14 2011 : 6:36:58 PM I wear cowboy boots all the time. I wear either Justin Gypsy's or twisted X. I like the support of the twisted x but I can wear gypsy's all day long and they are as comfortable for me as tennis shoes. I wear them with long or medium length skirts all soft and floaty. My daughter who is 97lbs soaking wet wears them with little short summer dresses and skirts and short shorts. She looks adorable. I occasionally wear mine with shorts but usually only at the barn.
Thoughts are things choose the good ones. |

Posted - Sep 10 2011 : 4:26:22 PM i wear them with a knee length denim skirt and a long layered cotton skirt...they are a great boot that go with nearly everything:-)

Posted - Aug 22 2011 : 06:51:11 AM Yes, yes!! Wear them with almost any skirt for everyday wear!
I bought a pair of Frye boots that were pricey up front, but they are super comfortable, will last forever, and here's WHY I wear my boots all the time: in the winter they keep my feet toasty warm (live in Northern WI). So, for me, it's not just fashion, boots are practical as well.
You'll look fabulous if you FEEL fabulous!!

Posted - Aug 18 2011 : 05:21:02 AM I found an awesome pair of cowgirl boots on etsy. :) They were a thrift store find-I love them! I wear them with a long, flowy skirt, usually. Denim with a ruffled shirt would look cute as well, I'd imagine.
