Posted - May 25 2012 : 12:25:05 PM I posted this in another forum. I didn't realize it should have been here. I had this outdated bell chime in my home. Just plain stained wood with the brass chimes on the side. I actually wanted to purchase another type more towards Colonial/Primitive, but they were way too expensive. So I went to Michael's Craft store and starting looking around. Came across some cheap moldings for a couple of dollars. I bought one (8" x 5"), unfinished wood. I painted the bell chime black and the molding black, glued this molding to the front of the box and now I have a brand new looking bell chime. Cheap too!

A rind is a terrible thing to waste. Compost.
When they had all had enough to eat, he said to his disciples, “Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted.” -Jesus in John 6:12 NIV Bible |

Posted - Jun 02 2012 : 6:20:48 PM Thanks Joan, but the one I have was bought. I think the one you made looks better than the one I bought. Marly
