Posted - Jun 17 2020 : 06:10:39 AM Good morning, Sisters! I'm joining up with the Farmgirl Sisterhood as a way to turn my magpie tendency to try to do lots things (baking! crafting! gardening! volunteering!) into something with a bit more organization (hello, Farmgirl Badges!).
I live near the Massachusetts-New Hampshire border, and am originally from north of Dallas, Texas. We have a 4-year old son who is helping me with our new, small vegetable garden this summer. I also just started sourdough bread baking and am very pleased that I've been able to keep my starter alive for a month.
I'm looking forward to being part of this community, learning from each of you, and hopefully meeting some of my New England sisters in person soon-ish.
cheers- Wendy

Posted - Jun 17 2020 : 5:35:28 PM Welcome Wendy! So nice to have you here. It's so much fun to do the badges. There are badges for gardening so that should be a quick one for you to get. It is so great when little ones want to help and they learn so much by doing it too. Look forward to seeing you around the farm.

Posted - Jun 17 2020 : 2:33:48 PM Welcome Wendy! So glad to have you join us. I also have a 4 year old son who loves helping us outside. He helps me water our trees and raspberries. We don’t have a garden this year because we moved. He has also been helping my hubby get the yard ready for some sod. They are so helpful aren’t they?! Which badge do you think you will start with?

Posted - Jun 17 2020 : 1:05:14 PM Welcome Wendy from north central Florida!! Your new Summer garden sounds fun and especially with a little buddy to help you! You might be interested in MaryJane's latest book on bread making too. The title is Wild Bread: Sourdough Reinvented. You can find a copy and purchase from the MJF website. It is a wonderful and helpful book and a great learning resource that you might have fun with too.
I am very glad you are here and I look forward to hearing more about all of your interests and projects as well!
