FGSW "Mother Hen"

Hi Farmgirls,

Even though it says "Southwest" you don't have to live in the southwest. Would love to pull together a "virtual" henhouse of farmgirls interested in building henhouse relationships and working on projects that we would orchestra by the "virtual" method.

I think the cool part of this would be that we be from all parts of the country and put together one nifty, cooperative of virtual chicks!!!!

Would love to you have!!!
Let me know if you'd like to join in!!!

THANKS FOR THINKING ABOUT IT!!!

Tammy,
I'll email you, but if you can, go to the Chapter/Henhouse Thread, find FARMGIRLS SOUTHWEST and you should be able to read a bit in our Projects thread about some of the things we've been doing. Perhaps that will give you a bit of an idea.
Hope it helps!

Karla,
Nope! That wouldn't create a problem. There isn't a lot we do on the computer. I don't know if you've had time (or even can get there) to look at the Farmgirls Southwest Henhouse posts in the Henhouse/Chapter forum. If you can just go take a peek at projects and you'll get an idea of what we've been up to.

And, we'd love to have you. Just send an email to Brian at the Farm and request that you want to join our Henhouse.
Specify that it is FARMGIRLS SOUTHWEST HENHOUSE, give him your sisterhood number and forum name. After he give you your "key", meaning you have access to the Henhouse, go in there and post in MEMBER BIOS a wee bit about yourself. That way I'll know you've gotten access and are "moved in". Hope that makes sense.
Let me know if you have other questions . . . . and we'd be HAPPY to have you!

Hey Mayleen,

You betcha there ABSOLUTELY is room in the henhouse for more . . . come on in and get settled.

First thing you need to do is send an email to: brianogle@maryjanesfarm.org and request that you be given access to the FARMGIRLS SOUTHWEST HENHOUSE. He will let you know by email when he has done that and it usually doesn't take long at all.

Once you get access (get your "key") then go to FARMGIRL CHAPTER HENHOUSES section on this forum, log in and scroll down the Chapter/Henhouse list until you find FARMGIRLS SOUTHWEST. Go to "Member Bios" and post your bio . . you can look at some of the others to get an idea of what the "chicks" are posting. After you have posted your bio then I will know you have "moved in" and we can go from there.

WE WOULD LOVE TO HAVE YOU!!!! LOOKING FORWARD TO IT!!!!
I'm also sending you an email.
WELCOME TO FARMGIRL . . . hope to see you in the HENHOUSE!!

If you still have some room in the henhouse, my daughter and I are down in Flagstaff, AZ, and love the farmgirl life! We'll be getting our own farm again this summer (after relocatating from Maine) and learning what it takes to do off-grid farming on 10 acres of juniper, cinders, and jackrabbits. Currently, our new chicks are still in the kitchen...
