Hi there, I have started to create a sisterhood folder with all the requirements and I am still trying to decide what to start with. I have one question though- what do I do if I already knit fairly well? Do I still start with the beginner level?

Thanks, Nadine

Hello Alee,
ah! This makes sense! So I could for example say that my beginner level is to finish all current sock projects and get them off needles.... then to knit a tricky pair of socks whose pattern always scared me and so on? And I love the teaching anyway- I have a little apprentice due next week....
Greetings, Nadine

Hi Ladies!

The idea is to start from the beginner stage and work up- but even an expert knitter has more she can learn, right? So even if you are experienced with knitting, consider the stage that you are at ground zero. So if you already know how to do socks, try mittens, or adding a more complex design to your socks, for example. The big thing here is the time requirement and then teaching someone else to knit!

Aren't socks wonderful?! Such a great portable project that you can take anywhere to work on them. I see you're on Ravelry too. My ravelry name is the same as my user name here if you want to add me :)

I love socks too! My stash is almost only sock yarn- every family member gets a pair of handknit socks from me for their birthdays and christmas and some friends too. Which means I always have too many sock projects going on! :)

You know I was wondering the very same thing myself! I'm no expert knitter by any means, but I'm past the scarf stage and love to knit socks.
