Hi Sue! They still have carriage rides in town but no longer have the big hay type wagons. The traffic is too congested for larger horse drawn carriages. It's a nice place to live even with all the tourist traffic.
I'd love to see what you do with your badge too! I have been looking at some of my linens, beads and brooches to see if I have what I need..

Posted - May 20 2008 : 1:14:46 PM LOL, I haven't yet but I have good intentions of doing it soon! My plan is to make mine Farmgirl Funky with embroidery, charms and other stuff but haven't had a chance to shop at the thrift shops for my goodies...
Would love to see pics of yours when it's finished.

Posted - May 20 2008 : 06:49:43 AM Hi everyone!
I just got my packet in the mail last night! I'm so excited to be a part of the sisterhood! My husband is actually excited for me! He moved me from the city to a farm in SE Indiana (we raise natural beef cattle and are working toward organic certification), so he's very happy that I'm embracing our rural lifestyle! I love our family farm life!
I look forward to chatting with everyone and sharing ideas and stories!
Sincerely,
Nikki

Posted - May 10 2008 : 3:29:17 PM Kim- My hubby doesn't quite get it either, but I know someday- when we have our own land and he sees how self-sufficient we are... the light bulb will go off :D Sometimes he even asks me to ask the farmgirls something...so I think he is slowly understanding what an awesome resource we are for each other.
