With all the talk about journals and old diaries, I thought it might be neat to start a journal swap, we can make one if you have the time and talent or we can just buy one and exchange it with another farmgirl, leaving a personal message inside of course. Anyone up to another swap? This might just encourage us to keep our journals going, I know I am starting another one soon. Who wants to swap journals?

My camera had been MIA for a bit, soooo......
after finding it at my parent's house, (where I had been cataloging family history) I finally got the pictures on the computer!!
After downloading them, I realized that the cover only came 1/2 way through. Grrrrrrrr. Will try again on that, but in the meantime-
Here is Tasha's beautiful journal that she sent to me!!

I went to my mailbox and what did I see? A nice little package from Tasha to me!! And inside of it is the lovliest journal- perfect for keeping tales of my everyday life. All through it are little sayings to lift and inspire. Tasha- you outdid yourself. I love it. I will post a picture to share as soon as I can ! Thank you, thank you!!

That is one fancy journal, and because of that I will not post a picture of mine, of couse I don't know how to post anyway. I will say mine is VERY plain. Maybe I should work on that for 2007. LUCKEY you Catherine and great job Talitha.

Buttercup ROCKS! I just received my handmade journal from her today and what a treat!!!

It's covered in a gorgeous silky , brocade green fabric with pillow padding underneath...this book has PRESENCE!

The inside cover has this adorable little tag with wire bookmark:

And Talitha went even further in her crafty work and made these adorable little tags and pocket on the second page:

The tags all have wonderful quotes like:

"Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today." -- James Dean

Then she wrote a beautiful letter to me on the next page and ended it with:

"May you always dream,
And may your dreams never end,
For to dream is to give life flight,
So soar my Farmgirl Friend!"

THANK YOU TALITHA!!! I will treasure this journal! I already have so many ideas for it...but I think the best one is to be my nightstand journal, right there when I go to bed and right there when I wake up!

Thank you so much! You are amazing!!

Farmgirl Love, Catherine
