Posted - Mar 12 2010 : 06:28:15 AM I belong to a book club that meets once a month and we need some new book suggestions. The membership ranges from those who like to read Mary Higgins Clark to those who like modern fiction and some who like the challenge of historical fiction and non-fiction. We also have some women in our club who speak two languages and for whom English is not their first language, so they had a hard time with Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Some of the titles we've read recently are The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, People of the Book, The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo, The Book Thief, P & P, Running with Scissors, The Glass Castle. I'm open to any suggestions! Thanks, Dianne

Posted - Mar 12 2010 : 09:58:18 AM I belong to a book club too. We just started after the first of the year. We read Water for Elephants....very good.....and The Help....excellent. When we first started everybody brought books and we compiled a list of books we wanted to read. Next will be Three Cups of Tea and Stones into Schools. Maybe the Time Traveler's Wife.
