Hi Ladies, I thought it would be tons easier for us to post on here when we discuss the Jane Austen books! What do you think? I will post the book list on this page so no one has to go searching through all those pages in the other Jane Austen thread. So in other words this is our new place to discuss that Jane Austen books! YAY!! But please do read the last page in the old Jane Austen book club thread as I asked a few questions! Thank you ladies for doing this with me!! I will try harder to make it fun!!

Here are the rules for this book club:
We have to read one Jane Austen book every 2 months. If you finish before that its fine I just want us to have plenty of room in case something comes up.
We will read 4 to 5 chapters and then discuss it. Like what we like, didn't like, ect..
And I'm thinking that's it.
Here is the book list so you all know. We will read in the order they are put.
Sense and Sensibilty
Pride and Prejudice
Mansfield Park
Emma
Northhanger Abbey
Persuasion
Lady Susan

I am about 3/4 through...it has been an extremely busy few weeks...but I have also read it several times before...it is my favorite...heheheh so I will go with yall's lead...

I was just going to ask that Linda. I am just now finishing the book. lol When Esther had her kids I had to stop everything for about a week or so. But now I am back on track!

Hello Everyone, I'm a new farmgirl as of 4/22/2010 and I would love to join this group. I'm a big fan of Jane Austen and am currently working on hand pieceing one of her quilts called "Dear Hannah". Is it too late for me to start reading and are you still on the first book listed? Bellagirl #1443

I am reading chap. 7. I always love the banter between Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth...I mean really Mr. Darcy...is so sure he can win her...Imagine his surprise later on...when she throws him for a loop.
