Posted - Apr 14 2010 : 08:13:06 AM I got my magazine the other day. There's a great article about dairy cows. I need to read all I can because I hope to milk Mazie when she has a calf next year. Great magazine.

Posted - Feb 21 2010 : 5:50:51 PM Belle, ME News still has a lot to offer, and I was looking for a change. It is not the magazine it used to be, and they just keep going over the same stuff, or so it seemed. And their philosophy has changed. Let me know what you think, Carol

Posted - Feb 19 2010 : 07:07:10 AM We suscribe to Countryside and Backwoods Home. Just like Amy it is a fight to see who gets to read them first. We had a subscription to Mother Earth News and Hobby Farms but in my opinion they have gone to catering to those who want to farm or garden, but not get dirty while doing it. If Mother Earth News went back to their old ways I would suscribe again in a heartbeat.

Posted - Feb 19 2010 : 05:27:38 AM I did start my subscription to Countryside yesterday. I get a lot more out of that than I have Mother Earth News, who seem to repeat the same thing over and over. I am really looking forward to Countryside.

Posted - Feb 11 2010 : 04:45:02 AM We subscribe to Countryside and also Backwoods Home. My husband, who hates to read, will literally snatch those magazines from the mailbox and lock himself in the bathroom so he can read them before I do!! (Just happened yesterday again. Gotta love it!)

Posted - Feb 08 2010 : 8:00:55 PM I subscribe to it and love it. I always go to the animal section first. Lots of good articles. What I like is it's mostly written by real people. People who actually live like they talk. People who've actually done what they write about. I just wish it would come every month.

Posted - Feb 05 2010 : 3:07:09 PM Yes I get Countryside. It's a great magazine I think. I like Mother Earth, Hobby Farm Home and Grit and a couple of others. Mother Earth is a bit more outspoken with their opinions I think. I like seeing the people write in and say what they think of the articles. They can get pretty intense. I really enjoy all the homesteading articles and just the magazines.
