Posted - Sep 07 2009 : 08:11:44 AM All Creatures Great and Small series of James Herriott's books. He wrote such uplifting stories. It really wasn't a series, but I think of them that way. I also like Richard Paul Evans books that come out each year about Christmas-time. The Christmas Box was his first. It is a lovely book, a quick read. Of course, the Harry Potter books by J. K. Rowling are riveting at times, but also very long. |

Posted - Sep 07 2009 : 07:43:32 AM I also love the China Bayles mysteries by Susan Wittig Albert, Laura Child's tea shop series, and the Elm Creek Quilters series. I tried getting into the Tamar Myers series, but found them just a little bit annoying. All my friends love them though, so maybe I'll give them another try! LOL! |

Posted - Aug 25 2009 : 1:25:30 PM Just finished the Twilight series. I also love The Lord of the Rings trilogy by JRR Tolkien, as well as the Space trilogy: Out of the Silent Planet, Parelandra, and That Hideous Strength by CS Lewis. I also love this old-fashioned series called the "Elsie Dinsmore" series by Martha Finley. But then, I am a real geek when it comes to books and movies. I also love Star Wars, see. Yep. I'm a geek Farmgirl!
