I copied this from her son Jacob's facebook
Such faith and depth from such a young mother

"Jacob had an okay night - his breathing is more labored today and he isn't eating or doing anything much except sleeping.

I think we all question why people, especially small children, are allowed to suffer. Through my 3 years of watching Jacob battle cancer I have seen a strength in him that is above human - it's a crazy unnatural strength when it came to pain and all that he endures. I KNOW that God walked him through those trials and is carrying him towards the finish line now. This verse I ran across today explains a lot of it:
John 9:1-3: "As Jesus was walking along, He saw a man who had been blind from birth. "Teacher," His disciples asked Him, "why was this man born blind? Was it a result of his own sins or those of his parents?" "It was not because of his sins or his parents' sins," Jesus answered. "He was born blind so the power of God could be seen in him."
Anyone who has met Jacob (and even those who haven't) can certainly see the power of God in him. We have been blessed with an angel. "

All I can say is "WOW"

Here is a direct link to Jacob's facebook psge

I just read this post. So sad. May God comfort his family as they cope with the loss during the years ahead. I just can't imagine losing a child.

I am trying to be the person my dogs think I am.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

So sad and have the family in my thoughts and prayers. Jacob is free. Praying for peace and comfort for all the ones he has touch just by being here. And Heaven is sweeter for him being there.

I am so sad that we have lost this precious angel, but know he is whole and healthy now and home with his Heavenly Father. He fought this battle with courage and grace that most grownups don't have and we can all learn so much from his life. Continued prayers for his family and all those who loved him as they go through the coming days and try to adjust to a life without him.

Jacob is wrapped in the comfort of God's arms now. I continue to pray for comfort and peace, for his entire family, his parents, siblings, grandparents and extended family and friends.
What an inspiring little boy, whose brave battle really put life into perspective.
God Bless.

It was just posted on Jacob's Facebook page (Jacob's ladder) that Jacob passed away during the night. I pray for Elizabeth, her husband, family and all who cared about Jacob during this time. He is free from pain and in the arms of God.

MY heart is Hurting but I know Jacob is a happy healthy kid having fun in Heaven.

I haven't been active regularly on MJF for probably 3-4 years. I think I remember back to when Jacob had just been diagnosed. I'm so sorry to learn that his story is ending this way. He and his family, especially Elizabeth, will be in my thoughts.

I absolutely cannot imagine what Elizabeth & her family are going through with their sweet angel. She is watching her sweet baby boy die before her eyes, and still maintains grace, faith and dignity. I fear I would not have her strength in the same situation.
God Bless them.
