I copied this from her son Jacob's facebook
Such faith and depth from such a young mother

"Jacob had an okay night - his breathing is more labored today and he isn't eating or doing anything much except sleeping.

I think we all question why people, especially small children, are allowed to suffer. Through my 3 years of watching Jacob battle cancer I have seen a strength in him that is above human - it's a crazy unnatural strength when it came to pain and all that he endures. I KNOW that God walked him through those trials and is carrying him towards the finish line now. This verse I ran across today explains a lot of it:
John 9:1-3: "As Jesus was walking along, He saw a man who had been blind from birth. "Teacher," His disciples asked Him, "why was this man born blind? Was it a result of his own sins or those of his parents?" "It was not because of his sins or his parents' sins," Jesus answered. "He was born blind so the power of God could be seen in him."
Anyone who has met Jacob (and even those who haven't) can certainly see the power of God in him. We have been blessed with an angel. "

All I can say is "WOW"

Here is a direct link to Jacob's facebook psge

Amen, Lisa... From God's Word through Jacob's life to the hearts of all those who are blessed to know and love him. My heart is just breaking for this precious little guy and his family. Yet, somehow, I am also greatly comforted, encouraged and uplifted knowing what a special place Jacob holds in the Heart of God, and that He is right there embracing him in His arms, lovingly stroking his head, holding his little hands, speaking words of love and encouragement to his heart, comforting his gentle spirit, and carrying him through. Truly, Jacob is tucked safely under the shadow of His wing - such a blessed place to be. Much love - Nini

As usual, Nini took the words out of my brain and said them so much better than I could. This family is surrounded by love and faith. Many prayers for comfort and peace. Joey

Incredible woman, incredible little boy. Praying continuously. Each time I check these posts or check Jacob's facebook page I am both amazed and inspired, yet feeling such sadness all at the same time.
I wish I had an ounce of the strength and courage that Elizabeth has shown. WOW is right. God Bless her and Jacob and their entire family.

Lisa,
There was a little boy Jacob and his mother Elizabeth was on MJF. I sent gifts and cards to them. I lost track when I got my cancer and was off of here for over a year. Please email or post her info if you can. She had 2 other children also. This just breaks my heart. If it is the same family I had them on my church prayer chain several times. My heart and prayers go out to them regardless. Please let me know.

Be Blessed and Be a Blessing,

This is one of our farmgirls. It's the same Jacob and his mommy Elizabeth. I'm just weeping for them. What that little guy has gone through is just terrible but amazing that he has done it with such grace. His poor family too. He just is an angel. She is on this site as babysmama. Several of us made quilt blocks for Jacob and Elizabeth that Diana put together into quilts. I'm putting them on my cjurches prayer chain now.

Continued prayers for the entire Flesher family.
If anyone is interested some friends of the family are holding an online auction beginning 7/24 and ALL proceeds will be donated directly to the family.
Here is the link:

At least this a way to help them out.
Reading the posts etc I feel helpless, other than prayers, so I will definitely be joining in on this one!

Thanks Laurie! I will definitely be checking that out. Prayer may seem like the least that anyone can do BUT it is the most someone can do.

I am still praying too. Bless their hearts.

I absolutely cannot imagine what Elizabeth & her family are going through with their sweet angel. She is watching her sweet baby boy die before her eyes, and still maintains grace, faith and dignity. I fear I would not have her strength in the same situation.
God Bless them.

Keeping this dear family in prayer. I cannot imagine what she must be going through watching her boy and all he has dealt with. She has an amazing faith. Jacob has been a trooper and I know he has been a blessing to his family and many others throughout this whole time.
