my wedding anniversary would have been this coming friday, may 14th. instead, last april 28th i came home early from work to find the love of my life dead in the back yard and am having a very hard time with it. please pray for me

Janie, I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier. I just got you letter. All my thoughts are with you. I hope you are doing better. I wish I was closer to come help out. Take care of yourself and let the yard go. It does not matter as much as your health. One day at a time.

dear friends,
many thanks for the prayers and cards...this has been the hardest thing i have ever had in my life to deal with. my constant companion of 31 years suddenly gone and the empty feeling ....
God however is very good to me and is taking care of my needs and i read your thoughts and prayers often when the sadness starts to be overwhelming....i could not have made it this far without your love and prayers...am back at work (busyiest time of the year at work and that helps some)but the nights are the hardest....

I can't imagine having to go through that, other than how terribly, terribly difficult it must be.
I do know the Comforter, Healer and Lifter up of our heads . . . and I will be praying the Lord to just fold you up in His arms and do all of those things for you . . . and carry you close to His heart . . the Heart of ALL Hearts!!

Oh, Janie, I truly understand. I lost my sweet hubby a year and a half ago. Last year for what would have been our 28th anniversary, I went on a road trip with a friend, just to do something totally different. It did make it a bit easier, well, maybe just different. Know that you are in my prayers. If you want, Teresa, started a thread where a few of us widows have been sharing our stories with each other. It has been a good outlet.
