Hey gals,

I know we have all had some major things happen in our lives and we should certainly be able to ask for prayers. I do think sometimes that some of the folks on here need a little bit of prayer to help them through a rough day, or just anything really, but they feel odd asking in an entirely separate thread. I dont think anyone questions a thread for an illness or any major event. I would just like this thread to be for little everyday things that we need to get through. You can post whatever you like and those who wish to can just pipe in and pray.

When I pray each night I like to add prayers for those who think there is no one to pray for them or care for them and who feel like life is at its darkest.

I wish for my family and friends to have everything they need and most of what they want.

Glory be to the Father, to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Abby is doing pretty good today. I went by to get some cucumbers from her. She was walking a little slow. She needs to take it easy. But I think she will be fine soon. SHe's young and strong. Thanks so much for asking, Ruth.

Kris, Was wondering how Abby is doing today? The flowers you took to her would brighten her day! Sunflowers are such "happy" flowers!

Kristin,

Thanks for thr update. I am glad it wasnt as bad as they thought.
kristin sherrill Posted - Jul 06 2010 : 11:11:13 AM
She made it through great! And the doctor said it was not as bad as they had anticipated. She did have endometriosis on one of her ovaries. She should be home in bed now. Me and Kansas are going to take her some zinnias and sunflowers. And Kansas painted her the prettiest picture. Thanks for the prayers ya'll.

My DD Abby is having surgery in the morning for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. The surgery will be about 7 am. She is very nervous. She will be put under and "spread eagle" for all to see. She is not liking that at all. So I am asking all you wonderful prayer warriors to please pray for Abby tonight and in the morning. She will need them.

I hope all is well with everyone who has requested prayer for family members.

Thanks so much. Kris

Nigel had good test results. He is starting an antibiotic to help with the a inflamation in his lower intestine. The Dr says its the autism that means tummy pain and issues for Nigel. We will continue to experiment with what makes him better. Thanks for your prayers!

Nigel had his tests today. The Dr didnt see anything obviously wrong, but took some biopsies to make sure. Nigel is still having a tummy ache. He is recovering. The prep for all the tests wasnt easy as the power went out for us. The whole substation caught fire. Thanks for all your prayers!

Thank you all for praying for my mom. Her knee is finally on the mend and she starts back to work next week (half days). She still has a way to go and the other knee needs done but mentally/emotionally I know she's doing better now. It was a slow process for her.

How is everyone else doing? Any updates?...

Please pray for a farmgirl who just found out her marriage is over. The pain, fear, and alone feelings are overwhelming her, naturally. Please lift her in prayer. Thank you!

Prayers sent for all.

Robin, I hope Nigel's cough is better. I am keeping you both in my prayers. How scary for both of you but I think it's always harder on the parent who has to act brave when all they really want to do is scream hold their child and know everything will be fine.
How is your brother doing?

Kristin, being a diabetic has to be hard, being married to one can be just as hard. I hope for both of your sakes he's not grumpy anymore..Short story comming up...My uncle Elmer was a brittle diabetic and a scary man but I loved him so much, anyway I always called him uncle grumpy..I was the only one who could. He knew it was my way of saying I love you.

Sending prayers to all. I haven't forgotten Kansas...I love that name, I hope all goes well for her being raised by an alocolic parent can't be easy but I find if they don't follow in the parents footsteps which is easy to do, they usually are very successful. Still so sad especially for the ones who love her but can't ruffle feathers knowing that would be worse.

Hope all your days are Sunnydays.

Staci,

My brother is doing better. Still in pain and of course the incision hurts, but his arms seem to be better.

I am sorry I am late to post...Prayers for your mom. Nigel wound up with strep throat and I havent been on much. I pray for her healing and recovery.
staci860 Posted - May 17 2010 : 11:59:24 AM
how is your brother progressing?

My mom could use your prayers. She had knee replacement March 29th but isn't getting the mobility the doctor would like to see. He is now talking about putting her under again and basically man-handling her knee into the bend he wants her to achieve. This will tear the scar tissue built up in her knee and then with very intensive PT she should be able to continue from there. This will be very painful and also extend the time she will be off work.
thank you -
staci
