Hello... my name is Whitney, and I just decided on a college today!

Here's some praise for the scholarships I do have and some prayer for a little more coming my way.

Best wishes! You are at a very exciting time in life.

When I went to college for elementary ed. there were National Defense loans. I don't know if they exist any more but they had a loan forgiveness factor that reduced the loan for each year I taught in a low income school district. Check out different funding options.
Also a lot of colleges have campus work/study jobs available. Have you got a job for the summer to help raise some money? Keep looking for more scholarships, school is expensive and it is a real advantage not to have a big debt when you graduate.

I'm 18... I did pick the more expensive school but it's the one I love the most, so hopefully it is worth it. I'll be attending Loyola University Chicago for Secondary English Education.

Which college and where? what are you going for? scholarships helped out both of my sons but one still owes over $50,000. and my youngest has his down to $36,000. They both have great jobs that they love. Sometimes the money isn't as important as the joy of having a job you enjoy. Prayers that everything goes well for you..

Hope all your days are Sunnydays.

Congratulations Whitney! How old are you? It would be great to have another "teen" on the forum. Channah and I are the only ones right now, she's 15, and I'm 14. Anyways, I'll pray for you!
God's Blessings,
