Hello... my name is Whitney, and I just decided on a college today!
Here's some praise for the scholarships I do have and some prayer for a little more coming my way. |

Congratulations Whitney! How old are you? It would be great to have another "teen" on the forum. Channah and I are the only ones right now, she's 15, and I'm 14. Anyways, I'll pray for you! God's Blessings, Megan aka Loretta Rae
At heart, I am both a sassy city girl and a down-home country gal. |

Which college and where? what are you going for? scholarships helped out both of my sons but one still owes over $50,000. and my youngest has his down to $36,000. They both have great jobs that they love. Sometimes the money isn't as important as the joy of having a job you enjoy. Prayers that everything goes well for you..
Hope all your days are Sunnydays. dianebcarterhotmailcom.blogspot.com |

I'm 18... I did pick the more expensive school but it's the one I love the most, so hopefully it is worth it. I'll be attending Loyola University Chicago for Secondary English Education. |

Best wishes! You are at a very exciting time in life.
When I went to college for elementary ed. there were National Defense loans. I don't know if they exist any more but they had a loan forgiveness factor that reduced the loan for each year I taught in a low income school district. Check out different funding options. Also a lot of colleges have campus work/study jobs available. Have you got a job for the summer to help raise some money? Keep looking for more scholarships, school is expensive and it is a real advantage not to have a big debt when you graduate.
