Posted - Nov 30 2010 : 6:46:42 PM Does anyone know if it is truly safe to drink Echinacea tea while breast feeding? of course the Ped says not but i only believe half of what they say. I enjoy Tradtional Medicinals teas and like to use the Echinacea Plus when I feel a cold coming on.

Posted - Dec 01 2010 : 08:13:27 AM Drinking echinacea alone should not be a problem while breastfeeding. In fact, if your babe gets sick, you can take the echinacea and it will get to your baby in your breastmilk. Very good remedy for babies/toddlers who are congested and snotty.

Posted - Nov 30 2010 : 8:24:44 PM I am also breastfeeding and I understand Echinacea to be okay. You have to be careful of combinations such as Trad.Med. Gypsy cold care though, because thyme and peppermint both diminish your supply. |
