My father-in-law took these photos (and almost all photos) of Violet on June 30th. I'm totally in love with them, and thought I might share a couple since you guys probably haven't seen her since she was about 2-3 months. She changes sooo much--it goes way too fast!!

yeah I must admit it was hard to hold back the laughs even as I was typing I was cracken up ... but in a good way.. yeah that carrot was her buddy for sure LOL!! I will say that a carrot is a great friend to have it gives back in so many ways! I wish all our friends gave us vitamins, smiles, tears, dirt, and a full tummy!

Awww...thank you so much, Jaime! I think she's got my nose, or at least she looks just like my baby pics. I cannot WAIT until she's in the garden with me--she does already help, though she's in the sling! I will gladly send out the "carrot pic" as soon as she's able.

Your darling is just TOO pretty!!! That pic reminds me of an old advert. from the 40's. She's just fresh faced, and that smile is so spirited!!! I would have had to hide my laugh when she started crying after eating her friend :)

awe Beauty in its truest form!! .. oh that nose that cute little nose! I love little button noses, and her skin reminds me of fresh cream. I want a carrot pic as soon as she can grow one! Thanks for sharing and making me grin!

Thanks so much, Lori! Hoping you are well, and that all is back to normal this summer--you've had quite a lot going on!!!

She is such a joy--truly. I don't know if I've ever laughed or smiled as much as when I'm around her. What an amazing glue she's become for her daddy and I, too. I thought we were close before, but I was mistaken--we're even closer, now!

Thanks so much, Melanie! That's one of the things she got from me (besides her little nose!) is my eyes--well, the "big" part--the blue part is from her daddy. Mine are hazel and change constantly.

Thanks so much, Diane. She's got us wrapped around her little fingers, that's for sure. She is just SOMETHING ELSE!!! I have an elderly african american friend who calls her (lovingly) "Miss Thang"!

Will do...heck, if it isn't TOO weird, I'll send you one for your office door :) These are her "formal" pics that everyone does around the 6 month mark, I guess.

Thanks, Janice! And what a lovely compliment about the vintage Ivory Snow ad :) I love these pics...he took about 24 more and I have such difficulty deciding! Thanks for sending them on to David! In several weeks, he's going to be taking her 6 month pic in a vintage blue dress (with white doves embroidered on it), in her swan rocker :) Can't wait!!!

The fourth one is my fave, Jonni. She looks like a vintage ad for Ivory Snow. Purity with big blue eyes and pinchable cheeks. I'm sending this link to David. :)

She is such a little beauty, and what good photos. They do just leap ahead so fast, but I know you are all enjoying every minute of it...

Thank you so much, Pam. I am so happy that you all like the pics. I thought her PaPa did such a wonderful job! He just knows how to capture the sweet little essence that is Violet Mae

Dear Kansas:
I'm so happy to hear that you loooooove your ears, too! It's so good to see your unique qualities and appreciate them. Violet plays "some" games, but not too very many, yet. She does like "peek a boo" and "patty cake" and she loooooves for you to make "spider" like fingers and grab her up quickly and tickle her! Be good to Gram!!

Thanks so much, Nancy, Joyce and Sarah...she's a very good baby girl--I've never known a child to always wake up happy, but she does. She's a blessing in so many ways!

We'll do it again, Lisa--I am sooo bummed--even Jus was bummed for me!!! He said, Oh, but you were so looking forward to this! Regardless of how short your hair is, I will still need to get mine chopped, too :) Did you get it done like the pic you sent me?
