Posted - Feb 15 2007 : 10:40:06 AM From December to March, there are for many of us three gardens - the garden outdoors, the garden of pots and bowls in the house, and the garden of the mind's eye. - Katherine S. White

Posted - Feb 14 2007 : 1:31:44 PM Yes, indeed, Jo. In fact, Westernhorses posted about the latest threat to bees just today. It was in the 'Across The Fence' thread. I've always had a secret desire to 'keep bees'(sort of my own personal "Secret Life Of Bees"). I hope when I'm ready, there will still be some left to keep.

Posted - Feb 14 2007 : 12:34:30 PM That's so true, Libbie. And this is the hardest time of the year for me - it's dark, cold and dreary. But there's a line from a poem by e.e.cummings that gets me through it all(sort of my mantra - I say it over to myself when needed). It's from a poem about the inevitability of the coming of spring:
you and i may not hurry it with a thousand poems my darling but nobody will stop it With All The Policemen In The World (e.e.cummings, 73 Poems)
