It just won't take the hint! The calendar says mid-September, but summer refuses to be evicted! After a brief autumn teaser, summer came back with a vengeance here in IL! We were almost 90 here yesterday (just 30 miles southwest of Chicago) & they're calling the same for today. They say one more full week of this, then we'll go down to the 70's. I certainly hope so!

One day it rains, the next it's hot and humid, then we cover the plants because of frost warnings. Got to love weather change and instablity to live in Wisconsin.

It's smelled like fall for the last two weeks here in OK. Today, we've got much cooler temps and cloudy skies. Definitely fall weather.

Another possible record breaking day above 90 today! I'm afraid there won't be a gradual cool down fall time. Just going from hot to cold. :(

No sign of fall here yet! This has been one super long & hot summer. It was 90 Friday and they're calling for 90 tomorrow. YUK! We also need to do a rain dance here, it's been 3 weeks since we had a rain. The ground is like concrete now.

I'm a true Midwesterner, I love my 4 seasons. When one is ending, I'm definitely ready for the next one. But as Alee said, when the cold winter hits hard, I'll be longing for those summer days.

It's still quite warm here on the Texas Gulf coast. Not as bad as August but faaaar from chilly.

Isn't it crazy how sometimes it feels like it will be summer forever and then in the midst of winter we start aching for the hot summer heat again?

Well, it's back in Kentucky after about a four day vacation last week. We're back to highs in the upper 80's-90 by Friday(my day off to work outside at the farm-LOL). OH, well. And still no rain.....

Summer ran away out here. Last night thunder and lightening and the power went out. Todays high is supposed to be mid 60s. Lows in the 40s. MB
