It just won't take the hint! The calendar says mid-September, but summer refuses to be evicted! After a brief autumn teaser, summer came back with a vengeance here in IL! We were almost 90 here yesterday (just 30 miles southwest of Chicago) & they're calling the same for today. They say one more full week of this, then we'll go down to the 70's. I certainly hope so!

Well, it's back in Kentucky after about a four day vacation last week. We're back to highs in the upper 80's-90 by Friday(my day off to work outside at the farm-LOL). OH, well. And still no rain.....

We have been pretty nice here lately. A warm up coming. But we got an inch of rain yesterday, yippee. They are talking 80 for the weekend. Hope your humidity is gone Dawn.

Same here. Cool for a couple days, maybe rain on Friday, then it's summer again!

Isn't it crazy how sometimes it feels like it will be summer forever and then in the midst of winter we start aching for the hot summer heat again?

It's still quite warm here on the Texas Gulf coast. Not as bad as August but faaaar from chilly. |

No sign of fall here yet! This has been one super long & hot summer. It was 90 Friday and they're calling for 90 tomorrow. YUK! We also need to do a rain dance here, it's been 3 weeks since we had a rain. The ground is like concrete now.
I'm a true Midwesterner, I love my 4 seasons. When one is ending, I'm definitely ready for the next one. But as Alee said, when the cold winter hits hard, I'll be longing for those summer days.

Got to 97 over the weekend(I think both days) and it's going to hit 91 by noon today.

Another possible record breaking day above 90 today! I'm afraid there won't be a gradual cool down fall time. Just going from hot to cold. :(

It's smelled like fall for the last two weeks here in OK. Today, we've got much cooler temps and cloudy skies. Definitely fall weather.

One day it rains, the next it's hot and humid, then we cover the plants because of frost warnings. Got to love weather change and instablity to live in Wisconsin.
