Flatlander Annie |
Posted - Oct 05 2015 : 5:17:15 PM I joined about a month ago, but hadn't gotten around to logging on. Then today, I received a sweet welcoming card from Winnie that brightened my day so I decided to change up my "To-Do" list and spend some time on the computer.
Well, where do I start? I lived on the coast of NC for 47 years (my entire life) then about a year ago, found myself single & independent (for the 1st time in my life). I loaded the U-Haul and moved all the way across the state to the Blue Ridge Mountains. And I absolutely LOVE the mountains! I have 1 son engaged to be married, 1 daughter who is a freshman in college (go ECU Pirates!), and 4 dogs (the dogs still live at home and I'm not sure exactly when they'll be moving out. LOL) I work full time in the insurance field in administration. The best part of my day & week is the time I get to spend at home.
I'm so excited to be a part of the sisterhood. I'm looking forward to making many new friends and hopefully learning a lot as well.
So, hey y'all from the NC mountains! The leaves are gorgeous & the temperature is great!

Posted - Oct 10 2015 : 12:26:49 PM Welcome, Deann! I am a "flatlander" transplanted to the mountains, only it was the Midwest version, from Wisconsin to Arkansas. Single and independent is quite a change after 47 years. You're a brave girl to pull up stakes! :)Here's to beautiful mountain days in Autumn!
