Hopefully you'll accept a just out of the city limits girl:) I think my lack of farm/country knowledge is made up for in my frequent idealic dreams of yearning to live the simple life whether in the city or country! We do live in 'farm country' with a view of endless acres of potato fields right out our dining room window! One of my favorite parts of living here will happen again in a couple of weeks when I watch the yellow school bus hug our hillside while picking up the children along the country roads that meander our valley down below. Eventually dropping them off at our little K-8 country shcool where our 2 sons were fortunate to attend. Life has changed some in our valley due to progress:/...Microsoft money has moved in and changed 'the air' around us but peacefulness and tranquility is still here and living quite well amongst the newcomers!

I'm excited to spend time here getting to know my way around and hopefully glean more about the simple life I equate with country living!

Hi Dona,
I thought that was where you were! We stayed at a lovely Bed and Breakfast (Benson's Farm) not to far from La Conner. We come your way when we need to see a bit more farm land, since ours is vanishing so fast!

take care,
Pennie Sequim Washinton

Thanks for the warm welcome! We live in Skagit County, half way between Seattle & Vancouver,BC! Our area is known for all the beautiful tulip fields and also for the millions of gawkers that come to a complete stop in the middle of our narrow little farm roads because they spotted a field of blooms...April is not my favorite month...Anyway, looking forward to getting to know all of you:)

Hi Donna:

A big welcome. Your signature line says it all for the country. Beauty and peace are truly there for me.
