Posted - Oct 24 2011 : 4:53:42 PM Hi - I'm Karen from a small town in California - not far from San Jose but far enough! We live on a small 1 1/2 acre property where we have 2 horses - some chickens and dogs/cats and lot's of parrots!
Looking forward to reading and learning here.

Welcome from a misplaced (transplanted) Californian now in the Pacific NW, but formerly from the Sacramento Delta area. My best friend from high school lives in Aptos, now.

Posted - Oct 26 2011 : 1:08:07 PM HI All - thanks for all the welcomes! I have quite a few parrots- 1 macaw - 11 cockatoo's and some amazons and conures and others. The biggest one we have is Winston - he is a Mollucan cockatoo - Winston is a lover is loves everyone from small to large! All the birds are pets - no breeding here. Most of the birds are rescues. I also help with doggy rescue - toy breeds - and care for older/sick dog's too We are a very busy house!
