Posted - May 11 2006 : 11:56:38 AM Hello Ladies; I have always been interested in country living maybe it comes from coming from the Northwoods of Wisconsin or just from watching the Waltons and Little House. I'm a 34 yr old lady come 1 month from today.I married a city boy who has no desire for the country lifestyle or anything country. I enjoy trying new recipes and collecting cookbooks.I love the outdoors from gardening to birdwatching. Hope to make lots of new friends. Lisa |

Posted - May 11 2006 : 2:54:34 PM Hi Lisa! Glad you found us! Even if your hubby is city-folk, I'm sure he loves all the country things about you. There's a lot of great people here, and always something new to discuss. What kind of things do you like cooking? Do you collect vintage cookbooks? We'd love to see pictures of your garden, so keep us posted!

Posted - May 11 2006 : 1:37:14 PM Hey Lisa! Welcome! I have a city boy husband too! He used to not want to be country at all, but over the years he has been more and more into it. He bought me a grain mill so I could grind wheat berries and make bread. He also bought himself a truck and my family and I tease him about it so much, but he loves it. Libbie's right, there is so much fun a farmgirl and who knows, maybe he will get caught up in your excitement.
I think I have always wanted this lifestyle because of reading the Janet Oke books.
