Okay, I guess if I've just "welcomed" another farmgirl, I ought to introduce myself! I live in the country in central Va with my partner and our critters (many cats, two dogs, several hens, a peacock and the meanest goose you've ever met). I have a city suit-and-heels job during the day and find I'm losing touch with our land...I'm hoping participating here will help me reconnect with the farmgirl part of me. |

Welcome Karen! I'm also another Virginia gal. I live in Floyd, south of Roanoke. I did some travel nursing to Fredericksburg, but I've never heard of Bumpass or Cuckoo. You'll love it here.

Karen, I have actually heard of Bumpass, but not Cuckoo! Yikes! I bet you have fun when you are giving directions to repair people, etc. :)

DH and I are in the process of transition from working in Northern Virginia to retirement in the Northern Neck...so, whereabouts in Central VA are you?
