Okay, I guess if I've just "welcomed" another farmgirl, I ought to introduce myself! I live in the country in central Va with my partner and our critters (many cats, two dogs, several hens, a peacock and the meanest goose you've ever met). I have a city suit-and-heels job during the day and find I'm losing touch with our land...I'm hoping participating here will help me reconnect with the farmgirl part of me.

Welcome Karen! I'm also another Virginia gal. I live in Floyd, south of Roanoke. I did some travel nursing to Fredericksburg, but I've never heard of Bumpass or Cuckoo. You'll love it here.
Hugs,

Karen, I have actually heard of Bumpass, but not Cuckoo! Yikes! I bet you have fun when you are giving directions to repair people, etc. :)

Welcome, Karen! You're going to love it here. It's definitely the place to help you get yourself reconnected to the land.

DH and I are in the process of transition from working in Northern Virginia to retirement in the Northern Neck...so, whereabouts in Central VA are you?
