Posted - Jul 22 2008 : 11:55:22 AM Hello! My name is Chelsey and I am so excited about this forum! I love to knit and make things with my hands. I am learning to sew and I want to learn to quilt. I love gardening and watching the little seeds grow into wonderful plants! I have a countertop herb garden in my kitchen (not an aerogarden) with thyme, cilantro, sage, and basil and a very large garden on my property with various types of squash, sunflowers, lettuces, broccoli, corn, and onions to name a few.
I am very happy to have picked up the MaryJane's Farm mag one day. This all is really great and it's nice to finally meet some like minded people (I am younger at 20 years old and I don't meet many people with these same interests around my college). My grandmother is teaching me to sew when I visit her in her Idaho home. I will be making another trip there quite soon!
Well, have a fantastic day fellow farm gals!!

Posted - Jul 23 2008 : 9:44:14 PM Welcome Chesey: I, too, love to make things with my hands. I love to crochet. I have trying to learn to sew for some 30 years!!!! Can't. I tried to sew a dress, and sewed the pockets through and through. Ripping is not for me. LOL You'll love the Farm site. Such wonderful people. Have a great day! Marly |

Posted - Jul 22 2008 : 5:05:16 PM Thank you Connie! I appreciate it! I think that these are important interests to have and one thing that I do to "spread the word" to my generation so-to-speak is to knit EVERYWHERE! I knit in class, while I'm waiting for things, on the bus, I even knit while I walk seriously!
