Hi I'm Bobbi, I have a husband and 2 babies 8 months old and 20 months old, and I'm just popping on this board to properly introduce myself. I enjoy scrapbooking, cooking, working outside in the garden and reading. We just moved out to a nice rural community that I love and it's really fantastic to finally be settled somewhere that really feels like home. We've only been here for a month and it already feels more homey than our house in town felt after 2 years.

Hi Bobbi..welcome! I am also in the Spokane area on a farm in the West Plains area. It is so lovely here and I'm delighted that the weather has been so hot for all my tomato plants. We tend to have a quick turn in temperature in September so we only have a few more weeks of really choice ripening time! I'll have cherry tomatoes coming out of my ears if all goes well!! How exciting for you to discover a little orchard! Our honey plums are getting ready..about another 2 weeks. They are little sweet things and this year we have a tree-full. We are beside ourselves. We have 6 peaches that are almost ready too (second year tree) and oodles of apples for later in the season. My chickens love the apples. Have fun and welcome welcome welcome!

I'm from Newman Lake, about 10 minutes from Spokane valley on the freeway :)

I guess I'm wrong I picked one and it was not a cherry but instead a very under ripened plum! So, we have plums!

No, but I'll check it out!
I was just outside clearing out some brush (the back yard is a tangled up tree mess) but I looked up and saw cherries, then I dug in a little deeper and found a very sad peach tree with one very sad rotting little peach on it, and a little ways beyond that, I found get this, a PEAR tree totally healthy little thing too!! I'm all scratched up from digging around back there but it was totally worth it! I'm totally pumped about this!

Hi Bobbi,
That's a great idea to get started with Scrapbooking. I've been taking photos here and there, and my dad has been up and taken some with his digital camera. I also found a scrapbooking store that carries nothing but scrapbooking supplies. A little overwhelming for a first timer, but it looked like a lot of fun~

Wow that sounds like quite a project you have going there!!!! A great scrapbooking project for you would be before and after pictures of all your progress with your new home. You could just take snapshots as you go and then someday when all the work is done it would be a lot of fun to sit down and archive it all and look at how much you've accomplished.

Not only am I also new to the Farm Girl Life, but this is the first time I've been in a chat forum, so I've got lots to learn! It does sound like you have your hands full~ I thought I had challenges moving on to 5 acres in to a house that's been gutted. But I don't have babies to keep me busy (my son is 23). You must have your hands full with your two little ones! I have a 15 month old and a 9 year old (both girls).... had my little one at 38 (eeeks :) so i couldn't imagine two so close together... must keep you busy? I have always wanted to learn to scrapbook... don't have enough time to sit still long enough to do it though... too many critters at home .... along with the hubby LOL
