Posted - Jun 24 2011 : 09:37:46 AM I think this is a great idea.......did it get off the ground? I'm a military brat, wife & mother and love to say "I've never been without an ID card", LOL. It is definitely a different way of life & gets in your blood. Some things are tough, very tough....like deployments and moving every few years, but it's incredibly rewarding, challenging and fun too. One of my favorite things was making a garden almost everywhere we lived and knowing another military spouse would be coming in after I moved and continuing the same thing. My husband is retired army & our son is presently serving in Afghanistan. Love & Hugs to all my military sisters.

Posted - Jun 23 2011 : 2:29:59 PM My dh retired from the Air Force last year. A military chapter would be awesome! Military base housing used to offer gardening areas at most bases, do they still???

Posted - Aug 08 2010 : 6:21:15 PM Anyone want to take the bull by the horns here and get one started? I'd be willing to consider it, but I'm not sure what the process would be for a virtual/online chapter, or if one has to be part of the sisterhood to do it. The sign-up page here, http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/farmgirl-connection/ , asks for a state and website url to be specified. Any of you True Blue Farmgirls more familiar with this process and what's entailed?
