I'm in central Oklahoma. I think it would be neat to have a chapter somewhere around here. Are there any?

Okcookee, I found another Farmgirl in our area, we have been chatting on 'Strawberries are in' post. Her name is Mary Beth. Maybe you could meet with us? We are going to a tea shop in Edmond, not sure when yet.

I live in OKC also and we go to Pottawatomie County every chance we get. We are making improvements in hopes of moving there permanently in a couple of years. I would love an Oklahoma chapter. Our plans include goats, chickens, and bees. My interests are cooking, sewing and crafting.

Hi ladies, I'm living in OKC, but go home to the ranch in Osage County on the weekends. Have any of your chapters been successful? I'm trying to start a new one in NE OK, but would be happy to join another. I'm interested in horses, art and jewelry making; and love antiques!

Is this Chapter still active or going? I live in Harrah and would love to join a group close to home that have the same interests for learning and advice and fun!

We have a chapter and usually meet in the Durant area -- most of our girls so far are from Durant, Calera or Kingston -- email me offlist and let me know if any of you are close enough to meet and I'll tell you when the next meeting is.

Just found this thread. I live in Elk City, OK. It is about 30 miles from the TX border on I-40. I grew up in Fairview, Ok. Talk about living in the wide open spaces.

Hi ya'll. I'm from SE Oklahoma in Atoka County. The closest one of you to me is Nancy in Push. County. I think a chapter would be great if we could figure out a central meeting place in case we wanted to get together. Seems like we are really spread out over the state.

I like the Denim and Roses chapter name myself. I liked Lea Ann's Briars and Lace too.
jdbivins Posted - Mar 06 2010 : 10:55:26 AM
Hey fellow farmgirls, I live in Elmore City now. Was suppose to be a member of the briars & lace chapter but life got in Lea Ann's way like it can do sometimes and we didn't get it started. I used to live in Marietta until just over 8 months ago. Would love to meet some of you and see what we could come up with.

Well I made a patch, I have no idea if we (can) or not, never thought about it, I just know we can't use the mary jane farm hen. Anyone that enjoys talking with us and wants to be in this chapter is fine with me :) Let me know what you think and give me address and numbers! Hugs, Nancy M.

Frozens hens....ha ha ha ha.....I went ahead and made one called the Red River Hens. My husband really liked the name too. I can make badges with that name on my embroidery machine on muslin. If you want one just give me you member number and address and I will get with it. I have a card called Kays Kitchen that has chickens with aprons doing all types of chores, I especially like the one hanging clothes on the line :) I can do one and put a circle around it and we can attach it to our jackets or our purses. Just let me know :) STAY WARM! I have both wood stoves going in this 800 sq ft cabin and tomorrow I am suppose to get the sewing rooms Ben Franklin stove hooked up! YIPEE!!!

Red River Hens is cute. How about the Red Mud Hens? Or Red Dirt Hens, Hens and Roses, Red Hens of Oklahoma.
Hugs,
Chris

PS. How about the frozen hens - for tonight anyway. Everyone keep warm!

What do the other Oklahoma gals like? I am leaning towards Red River Hens. Can anyone think of a better one? I only wear denim and I have a ton of roses so I like the other too. I can't make decisions!
