Hi girls,
We had a great time getting to begin to know each other.
Meeting Heather was a great gift, she is gracious and warm.

Okay, down to the nitty gritty....lol

I choose Near and Far because I needed to have a name to start it.
With having another chapter the Far Away girls, we decided we needed to change our name so it won't get confessing.

Here is our choice, ya ready..... The Kooky Cluckers.
Now let us explain. We each have a great sense of humor, it is what has gotten us through lifes many ups and downs. The Kluckers because we love to share with each other, to talk about how life is and has been and ideas and cares. So thus the name, Kooky Kluckers.
Are you laughing yet? Life is so much better with a sense of humor.

Our next meeting will be Amanda's place in Spokane.
Date November 14th, Wednesday night at 7pm.
Carol Sue will be bringing treats.

Novembers meeting, we will be doing a swap. Thanks to the Clark County farmgirls idea. Bring anything from your house that you do not need anymore, bring lots or little and we will be exchanging with each other. Recycling in fun form.

Also we each want to bring a piece of fabric. Why you ask? Because for our apron we would like to do a half apron, yes we have patterns, and we would like each gal to bring a piece of fabric so that we all can have a piece of fabric from each other in our aprons. Being a part of the whole, for those far girls, you can send me your pieces and I will send out the exchange pieces back to each of you. And the pattern of coarse!!!!

Journal pages- a page about you. 8 1/2 by 11, don't worry you don't have fill the whole page. Let us know your likes as well. If possible, we would like to try to start getting them in this next meeting, if that isn't possible just let me know. With holidays coming, we have some leeway girls.
After everyone's journal pages come in, we want to make copies of them for each girl so that we get to know each other better.

Also, if you girls would like to send me you emails, addresses and phone numbers want to get a sheet together for each one of us to have that information.

For those who want to bring their kids,
October 20th, at 11am for those who want to,
we want to meet up at the Royal Garden in Airway Heights to pick pumpkins. If you and your kids are iterested give me a shout out.

We also talked about doing birthday exchanges. We each put our birthday in a hat and draw names. The month that is that person's birthday we bring a gift for that person. Don't worry we will send out reminders....lol

What a joy to be on this journey with other farmgirls.
Looking forward to spending more time together.
Have a great evening girls.
Carol Sue

Still checking in with the Kooky Kluckers. What happened to everyone? Guess Spring made like taffy and pulled us all apart for a time.

Send me an email if anyone would like to catch up:)

I remember when we got our first chickens. There were three roosters and each of us kids got to name one. One was Pierre, Martin, and the last John-Claude(said with a french accent). Later my brother came to outs with one of the roosters spurring him. Best chicken we ever ate..lol

It has been warmer but not 80's thankfully. So yes played in the dirt a bit, watched the chickies play in their yard. They realized they had room to run in. When they had that figured out there were off and playing to say the least. The grand girls thought that was the best ever and are workin on names for them. Came we say live is never dull!!!!

LOL, there were plenty of times dh and I just spend time at home. It was nice to have the quiet, sometimes we would watch movies or putter in the house. You need those times too.

Putting in daffodil bulbs with dd, Teresa of coarse. Was watching Indy with honey. He was watching cause of Danika. She just went out so he is done, who is still watching it, me cause I want to know who wins. Wow, suckered me in on this one!!!!!
Nice excuse for a few more minutes to play on the computer.....lol

Ok it is Friday here and too bloomin hot for this girl. Come on it was 65 on Wednesday, 78 yesterday and 86 today. Give a girl a break, a body has to climatize a bit. I guess not this year. LOL

I can't even show a picture of him here cause I haven't labeled mine yet so I can download some of him. Slacker slacker slacker. LOL

I have to say the sunshine was divine though. I saw green pokin up more in the flower beds, always brings a smile to one's face. And smiles are always grand,
later,
