Posted - Jan 11 2006 : 10:38:40 AM Hello! I wasn't sure where to post this topic, but the swap shop was the closest match. Do any of you farmgirls know of a source (other than ebay) for an old fashioned letterpress & letterpress blocks? I have found the blocks on ebay, but just don't have the heart to keep losing auctions. As far as a traditional letterpress is concerned, I know they are expensive...but I'm hoping to find one someday. They are hard to come by, so in the meantime, i was going to start collecting old blocks. Just wondering if any of you ladies have any insights about letterpressing. Lots of love Judes

Posted - Jan 12 2006 : 07:17:55 AM Thank you for posting the link to that website, Bridge. I am also fascinated by the idea of having my own old-fashioned letterpress. I'll have to start keeping my eyes open for one at antique stores this year. I think it would be so interesting to be able to print things without having to go near a computer!
Sincerely, Elizabeth

Good luck to you! |
