Posted - Jun 04 2006 : 07:43:08 AM I have a question.I am not a button person. This box was given to me from an elderly neighbor and they were his wife's. What does mother of pearl look like. I have white ones, cream colored ones. Ones that have a shiny side and the other side kinda looks uneven like shell.(I have those in a creamy color on one side and a darker color on the other or The shiny side on one side and creamy uneven shell color onthe other). If I can take pictures I will later. Thank you. Alicia

Posted - Jan 26 2006 : 07:58:00 AM Nancy- The dolls I make are in simple Waldorf style- all natural dollies made of wool and cotton- they are so fun to make and are swet friends for little ones (and big ones!). Do a search on google for waldorf doll and you will see a wide variety in the general style- I have made all sorts and they are a joy. Pearl Rose is an 18" doll with light brown hair and blue eyes- she is the first doll I made and I will definetly post some pictures when I figure out how. She is going to shimmer with the mother of pearl buttons lining her skirt bottom. I am also going to be making some more rustic dollies like Frannie's for the Cabin Fever Doll Class- I am going to make a little farmboy with an embroidered pocket that says I dig farmchicks. Can't wait to get the little package- those sweet little buttons are on a long journey to make Pearl's look complete! Thanks, Rebekka |
