I am in search of old buttons for doll making etc. I need white, mother of pearl, lightest blue and lavender. I would love to trade a few moon pads, nursing pads, walnut pincushions or just give a little money. Let me know what you need

Sharon- (and your sweet helper!)
Thank you so, so, so much, the buttons are perfect and will find homes on a few little dollies I am making. What lovely colors!!! They are spilling out of a little blue stained glass box I got for Christmas and I can't wait to see where they end up! I am indeed close to the farm and would love to see you come farm fair time. Keep in touch.
Hugs, Rebekka

Rebekka....let me check my reserves! I have So so many buttons! I need nothing in return, just let me know your address and I'll round some up. I think I have a bunch if you still need em. Actually, is there anything else you need for your dollmaking? I'm on the verge of giving a whole bunch of stuff away (ribbon, buttons etc)

Nancy- The dolls I make are in simple Waldorf style- all natural dollies made of wool and cotton- they are so fun to make and are swet friends for little ones (and big ones!). Do a search on google for waldorf doll and you will see a wide variety in the general style- I have made all sorts and they are a joy. Pearl Rose is an 18" doll with light brown hair and blue eyes- she is the first doll I made and I will definetly post some pictures when I figure out how. She is going to shimmer with the mother of pearl buttons lining her skirt bottom. I am also going to be making some more rustic dollies like Frannie's for the Cabin Fever Doll Class- I am going to make a little farmboy with an embroidered pocket that says I dig farmchicks.
Can't wait to get the little package- those sweet little buttons are on a long journey to make Pearl's look complete! Thanks, Rebekka

Rebekka,
Good, I'am so glad they are what you had in mind, if you need more let me know, just today I found lots more, and a lot of them are the little round ones. So you know where to find me if you need more.I made 3 pillows today and I like to put a big button in the middle, so that is when I came across the pearls. Also working on a quilt top, a yo yo quilt, some embroidery on kitchen towels, and of couse knitting. oh yea reading! need more time.

I have a question.I am not a button person. This box was given to me from an elderly neighbor and they were his wife's. What does mother of pearl look like. I have white ones, cream colored ones. Ones that have a shiny side and the other side kinda looks uneven like shell.(I have those in a creamy color on one side and a darker color on the other or The shiny side on one side and creamy uneven shell color onthe other). If I can take pictures I will later. Thank you.

Hello dear Debbie
I just got the pillow you sent me and it is absolutely beautiful!!!! The green matches my sofa to a tee!! i will have it on my sofa for now...but... I have been wanting to re-decorate our bedroom for years (my husband was a bachelor for a very long time and the room is horrific..tractor posters and cow pitures...we are farmers..) anyhooo your pillow has inspired me . I will take it to the fabric stores and find co-ordinating fabrics and colours for our room. When it is all done (may take awhile) i will send you the photo. THANK YOU SOOO VERY MUCH!!!! a great big farmgirl hug to you my friend.... Mella
